These pumps are essential for maintaining the efficiency of your vehicle's windscreen cleaning system, delivering the necessary fluid to the windscreen jets at the push of a button.

How Windscreen Washer Pumps Work

The windscreen washer pump is a simple yet vital component that propels cleaning fluid from the reservoir through the hoses and onto your car's windscreen, working in tandem with the wipers to clear away dirt, grime, and residue.

Identifying a Faulty Windscreen Washer Pump

Signs that your washer pump may need attention include a lack of fluid being dispensed when activated, a weak flow of washer fluid, or unusual noises when the pump is in operation.

Common Causes of Washer Pump Failure

Washer pumps can cease to function due to clogs from dirt or debris, wear and tear over time, or electrical issues within the pump mechanism itself.

Accessing the Washer Pump

Accessing your vehicle’s washer pump typically involves removing the wheel well liner or getting underneath the car to reach the bottom of the fluid reservoir, where the pump is usually located. For precise steps, refer to your Dacia Sandero's manual or consult a professional.

Rubber grommet was too small but excellent service

The overall transaction went smoothly and delivery was fast. The courier kept me updated on the progress of the parcel. Unfortunately the supplied rubber grommet that came with the pump was too small. The leak was barely noticeable, but the tank would drain within a couple of hours. I stripped the pump out twice and in the end I reinstalled my old grommet. All working fine now and pump still going strong.
